Goals by Daly, Lumeka, Lokilo and Hungbo with his only touch of the game. Wickham, Souare, Rakip and Jach all featured. I have written a little about all of them below.

Wickham

Had a nice little cameo. Showed some good strength and nice touches. Couple of headers on target. Looks like a genuine physical threat. Put in a great cross that should have been tapped in almost as soon as he came on. Couple more weeks in the U23s and he might be able to play the last couple of games. Looks in great physical shape despite the lay off.

Souare

Looking really good, full of energy all game, ran forward and back. Slid in for a couple of goal saving cover tackles. Played simply when he needed to. Looks good. We look very set for the left back area.

Jach and Rakip

Not really sure why we got these guys. Rakip looks classy on the ball, but still isn’t the most polished player. Reminds me a little bit of Chung Yong Lee, good passes and touches but not a particularly reliable player, certainly won’t make an impact with us while he is on loan, and I wouldn’t personally buy him at the end either. Got a smart assist from a quick free kick by Lokilo. Jach looks okay, seems calm, the sort of player that will just get on with it and would benefit from having a quality defender next to him. Difficult to judge him because Cardiff were poor going forward, they had 1 or 2 shots all game.

Lokilo

Very impressed with him. I wasn’t when I saw him under Frank and thought he didn’t have much about him. He still looks raw and sometimes takes one or two touches too many, like Zaha used to, but he is quality. Scored a deflected free kick, but it was his runs and passing that were the really impressive parts of his game. He looks great on the ball and seems to just have an extra yard of space because he is a better player. Played a quick free kick that led to Dalys goal. Looks to me to be the best of the kids without a doubt. Been involved in 22 goals this season with goals and assists.

Lumeka

Goal and an assist, the goal was well taken and the cross was great for a goal in the 92nd minute, but I still think he isn’t near the level required. He seems very rash on the ball and lacks composure. There is a very rough diamond there, but I’m not sure he will be unearthed at palace. Think he is a bit too far away.

I watched most of the first half and all of the second. I agree with Coulsdon's well written summary. It was good to see Wickham in action for 20 mins and he looked keen and fit. Hopefully, he can still play a part in the run in.

Rakip looked like he has potential but nothing to suggest he is likely to displace anyone in our current midfield. Strange loan that one.

Jach is tall and a bit gangly. He looked comfortable bringing the ball out and is very left footed. He made one rash challenge that let an attacker go through but wasn't greatly tested. One for the future, maybe next season but not very likely to feature in our run in(injuries excepted).

In addition to Lokilo and Lumeka, I thought Tupper the goalkeeper did well. Though not greatly tested, he looked calm, composed and was prepared to come out crosses and made on good punched clearance.

Well worth an hour and a half on a Monday afternoon!

Did anybody have a Butcher's ? Good to see some encouraging performances in this game. Probably see more of these players next season.

Not followed the u23s really, but curious what those who do think of Daly? Has it got the potential to step up in a few years? I heard the name mentioned numerous times when reports are done.
