I think if you pronounce three as 'three' then your accent according to this derives from West London and if it sounds like 'free' then you're East London. Not sure on the scone question.

I was brought up to pronounce scone as in Ron, but I've met a few people with airs and graces who pronounce it as in Rome. I tried that once and it sounded so false that I never did it again.

The Oxford English Dictionary says that the Ron pronunciation is associated with the northern working class and the Rome pronunciation with the southern middle class. So that's put me in my place!

I think in time pronouncing scone as Rome will be by a few thousand people.
