He's actually a centre-back, which makes it worse. We bring on Delaney with 5 mins left and he immediately loses Kane at the corner. Jach played about an hour for the u23s this week and came off about the same time as Rakip and Wan-Bissaka so I can't understand why he wasn't even on the bench, unless he got injured in training? Also, we got Rakip on loan - we now have 10 games left. Any chance of him getting on the pitch?

There might be any number of reasons for the selection, and to most of them, we are not privy. What I will say is this. If Delaney comes on, makes an error like that, and we lose, it may nudge him nearer to retirement but he and we will not have lost more than the point that was at stake on the day. If Jach comes on for the first time in the PL, makes a mistake like that, and we lose, it can affect the confidence and mentality of the player from then on. As far as Rakip and Jach are concerned there is one thing that we must not do and that is to risk pardewing them.

Its bleedin obvious Roy doesn't rate either him or Rakip as premiership players right now, and i have no doubt is fuming about them being brought in in lieu of capable players. It's a f***ing joke, a player on a short-term loan who's not fit, or good enough to play in a situation where the club is injury ravaged and down to bare bones. Roy's a stubborn bugger, and IMHO wont play either to prove a point. Which he's well within his rights to do. If he genuinely doesnt think they're up to it, then they shouldn't cross the white line onto the pitch, even if Parish and Freedman think otherwise. I know which one out of those three i have the most respect for, and it's not the turncoat or the flash harry.

Not sure where this lad is! But to have Delaney on the bench ahead of him really sums up Freedman and Parish latest transfer window. Feel so so sorry for Roy and Ray L. They have worked miracles but yet again our transfer dealings have sadly not helped our cause. In my humble opinion Parish and Freedman have purchased a couple of players that might just might be able to compete in the Championship. I have the upmost respect for Parish for how he saved the club. But over the recent few years he has made some shocking mistakes. Unfortunately I feel this season one too many.

when schlupp & pva arnt good enough & cost 5 times what he did...im not sure what people expected. still if tomkins is out im sure we will have our answer if hes up to playing against pogba/sanchez/martial/mata/lukaku next weekend when he more than likely lines up alongside damo. holy f*** thats a scary prospect.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'New Centre Half?' by Midlands Eagle J Jak the Polish international central defender we signed in January. Were is he ? he has played in the under 23s but is not even getting on first team bench. We are running out of defenders and need him, is he not yet fit enough? If he is not good enough to get on the bench in front of Delaney then why did we buy him?
