Sam Harris is a powerful voice of reason. I don't agree on everything but then again, who agrees on everything. However in a world where power is increasingly given over to people using 'feelings' more than 'reason'....he's almost like a throwback.

I have found his criticism of abrahamic religions, fairly balanced as in having no time for any of them. Islam - belligerent

My question is whether Brand is just refusing to criticise the religion on any grounds, or whether he's just determined to pin it on Western politics. It seems that's a convenient ambiguity that the career liberals now epitomised by Brand hide behind. Although his refusal to moralise over other cultures seems a very extreme and contradictory incarnation of 'tolerance'. Edited by johnfirewall (19 Feb 2018 10.47am)

This is the clip on the Bill Maher show which saw Sam Harris come to prominence due to his spat with Ben Affleck who comes across as a real tit. [Link]

[Link] More intelligent than a self-righteous actor shocker. I'd love him to take Lily Allen or one of our token luvvies down a peg but they're not even in the same league.
