Difficult choice here as I want to find room for Sako but we looked very exposed against Arsenal with Sako, Benteke and Wilf all in. I think Andros offers us more of a balance offensively/defensively. So assuming Sakho is not quite ready to return yet and that Cabaye is injured I'd suggest:

Hennessy
TFM --------Kelly --------- Tomkins ---------- PVA
Reidewald -------------------- Luka
Andros --------------- MacArthur ------------- Wilf
Benteke

Bench: Sako, Lee, Rakip, Speroni, Jach, Souare, Delaney

Pretty sound logic, DW.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I've got a sneaky that Cabaye will be available. If so, I'd play him because I suspect West Ham will sit back in this one due to their injuries. We'll need a bit of his craft.

If only that were true.

I wouldnt be surprised if our new Swede gets a game for the reason you give.

Sadly I suspect tomorrow night will be the first word in frustration, also for the reason you give.

Do we have to have Delaney on the bench now Jach is here? Would also love to see Lee on his way to Bolton tonight so we can give Lokilo a spot instead.

Joel Ward is back and available is he not? If so, surely he has to be at least on the bench if not a starter. Personally, I would start him over TFM who looked much less assured against Arsenal (albeit he wasn't the only one!).

Hard to argue against the OP's starting 11 aside from that.

Sako starting instead of Benteke might be a good option

What ever team Palace field it looks like WHU will be massively weakened

Speroni in for Hennessey.

Other than that, it's pretty much our best XI right now. I'd have Ward and Sakho on the bench if fit.

According to Roy just now, Sakho, Cabaye and Ward have recovered

As far as I'm concerned we're only playing a slightly weakened team. Without lanzini they maybe lack a bit of creativity, but other then that they have good cover in every position.

Besides, has arsenal and our home fixture last season against them taught us nothing?
