Not sure if anyone saw this but Jordan Peterson completely outwits feminist Cathy Newman by rather articulatory explaining the myth of the patriarchy and gender pay gap (and talks about transgender pronouns). Fascinating interview and quite incredible that at one point she is literally lost for words. [Tweet Link]

Well worth watching, although I imagine it will be difficult viewing for some.

It really isn't rocket science is it. Mature intelligent people don't really get offended by discourse. The politics of 'offence' and accusation is well-trodden on the internet and public life while very few are fooled by anyone playing the offended card any more. It does give a few nut cases the opportunity to assert themselves down their internet connections and a number of organisations the chance at an attempt to justify their existence.

So after losing the debate, Channel 4 has now created a story they had to hire a security agent to tackle Cathy Newman's apparent online abuse since this interview. Even though there is no evidence of this. And are now trying to smear Jordan Peterson as an alt-right transphobe who is encourage an army of abusive trolls. Amazing how the liberal-left media can change the narrative to suit their needs. The gender pay gap is a myth and Peterson brilliantly explained why.

Completely disingenuous isn't it.....Abuse on twitter is par for the course and Peterson has been getting threats for years....yet 'feminist' Channel 4 apparently need 'security experts' for 'feminist' Newman. Peterson addressed this issue the other day and said nothing he saw required the police....and he quite rightly asked people to stop being abusive. He also quite rightly pointed out that left wing media has been dishonest over this interview.....where some of their 'feminist' ideological falsehoods were utterly smashed. This is what happens when reason meets agenda driven prejudiced rhetoric.

Chaps like Carlin, Peterson, Murray and Harris are just the less left-wing peers of respected intellectuals such as Hitchens and Dawkins etc. It's great to have people like this speaking in plain facts but it's frustrating that people respond with emotion. Harsh to undermine Cathy Newman off the back of this though. She's has a greater pressure to fight her corner on national TV Edited by johnfirewall (23 Jan 2018 1.36pm)

He makes a lot of very valid and salient points and I'd much rather all political decisions were made based on data driven evidence. It does make me laugh (read: facepalm) though when I see people like on this thread use 'feminist' as if it's some sort of dirty word and thing to be.

Its modern connotations are to me and most people....Newman in fact just pushed tenets that modern feminists push everyday in the media...the pay gap for example.... All Peterson did was provide public pushback against its ideas.....these arguments have been kept off our screens by media producers who only allow the political discourse that doesn't compete with their narratives. Someone arguing against modern feminist claims is very very rare on television, though these arguments are heard all the time on alternative media. In fact 'feminist' isn't a word that most females in the UK identify with either.....So really when it comes to facepalms and eyerolls, people who call themselves feminists come high on the list with most people outside of that lefty echo chamber of self identified feminists and their beta male 'allies'.
