...who told me he named his dog Arthur just so he could say when tying him outside the supermarket: "Arthur, wait!". Silly man. Has anyone got a dog called Holmesdale, and if so how do you get him (or her) to jump up on their hind legs?

There used to be a dog that ran onto the pitch every first team game but never reserve matches. Micky Drip. Came to a sad end. Locked in an upstairs flat in Crown Point during a match he got so frantic to get to the game he jumped out of an open window.

this isn't a pun is it? if it is it's gone right over my head. bloody impressive homing skills though, maybe he saw a 249 coming and was aiming for the bus stop Shame if that was it cos 249s don't go down Beulah Hill, can't remember what bus number does

Ask some of the old timers. It was a feature of matches. Micky Drip was all kinds of weird. Used to like to poo by backing up against shop front plate glass windows.

I recall the tickets issued by conductors on their silver machines on the end of straps around their necks.The conductor used to turn the dial for the correct fare, turn a handle and the ticket would emerge ! Probably many on here were not around in those days.
