Many fans of other Teams I have talked to recently,Chelsea,Spurs,Arsenal,W Ham etc, have much to my surprise commented on how they like and respect Palace and its fans.I do wonder if this something others have experienced. Who cares? Doesn't change the fact we've got the best support in the league, the classiest manager and the best player outside the top six. If the "neutrals" don't like that, not our problem Edited by TheArmaniCode (14 Jan 2018 10.41pm)

One of the things that gets you respect is that you were there when we were s***. If you're a Man Utd fan for example you have no answer to that question because Man Utd were never s*** - not in the League Division Three sense, anyway. And if you are weed, then you were always s***.

In America, the Palace story resonates because of all the adversity. Twice bankrupt, almost liquidated and yet a colorful club with flair. It also helps that the club has idiosyncrasies that we Yanks identify with "being British/English." Our name is also seen as being typically and a loveable British name. Some even ask me where our Palace is and does the Queen live there. Edited by kenbarr (14 Jan 2018 11.28pm)

Heh, heh, I dig this, after trawling through twitter I noticed that 90%+ of 'other' fans commented that they thought we are a 'genuine' club with 'real' supporters. Ok a lot of them also dissed the clubs abilities (b'stards.), but there was a genuine begrudging admiration for the support. Edited by wizlon (14 Jan 2018 11.47pm)

Perhaps we appeal to those who can't stand the loadsa dosh teams like Citeh, Manure and the Arse. The same who hate teams like the Yankees and Cowboys.
