Didn’t realise yesterday that Luka was captain. Thought he acted like a captain. Talking to the ref and helping to calmed Wilf down. Long may it continue, especially with Puncheon and Dann out for the season. Edited by tonypeers5 (14 Jan 2018 5.56pm)

I just hope that it doesn’t distract him from his game.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot. |

I especially liked when he pulled Wilf away and then got into a bit of a scrap himself.

Only two choices for me within the side for captain and that is Sakho or Milivojevic. I do like a midfielder as captain though as he is involved all round the pitch. Luka should be the man.

Captain Luka and his fearsome Eagles - long may it continue! Really acted as our armband leader when Wilfried was pushed into the TV camera, stood up to the Burnley players and calmed our diamond winger down. Great sportmanship!

Think he would be one of the first picks of a lot of us. He is a natural and his position helps as well.

Thought he was a good choice pre-game and thought he did a great job during it. He was the first one there when Wilf got bundled into the camera and made sure that he got him out of there sharpish when the Burnley players were trying to wind him up, by acting as if they were trying to calm him down. I noticed Tim did the same near the end of the game when someone else tried to get at Wilf again. He was there in a flash and made getting Zaha away from the incident his priority. I think the whole team know his value and that the opposition will try anything to get him wound up, booked or to retaliate etc. Seems like they've might've had a collective chat or a word from the coaches to do so.

To be fair, don't think there was much of an issue of him getting pushed and Wilf has to be careful. He already does not get a lot of decisions he should get, sulking and moaning on moments like this are not going to help. Originally posted by Stuk

I didn't say he was pushed but if you watch it again both the Burnley players are putting their hands on him, which he clearly didn't want as you can see by him brushing one of them off immediately only for them to grab hold of him again. Luka and Tim, in both incidents, made sure that the first priority was to physically get Wilf separated from the oppo.
