Just because that's been the case for the past 10 years doesn't mean we haven't learnt our lessons...

It's only Day 14, the medical room's full up and Len Chatterton's on the sub's bench...but as England used to sing before getting knocked out of the World Cup "This time we'll get it right"

You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name.

Each window seems to have a theme. Last window the theme was "let's see who can f*** up a deal a few seconds before the window closes". We put in a good effort with the Niasse one but the winner was obviously the idiot whose fax arrived 14 seconds too late.

This window the theme seems to be "let's see who can read the most non-existent meaning into an insignificant tweet". Contenders seem to be a) the one in which Wilf says "Young but I'm ready", which apparently means he's going to Spurs despite the universal chorus of "Wilf is going nowhere"; and b) Guaita followed a lot of Twitter accounts of Palace fans and then unfollowed them, which depending on who you are means either i) he's signed for Palace or ii) he isn't signing for Palace.

Yes but this season don't forget we have a Director of football in place!

Tomorrow will mark half way through the January transfer window already and although we might still be circling we don't seem to have swooped on any of our intended shortlist of finely honed targets yet!

Or am I reading this wrongly like everyone else and there is noboby we really want in January? We are waiting until the summer? To sort the lot out!!

Did anyone see Tosun for Everton at Wembley?
He was on the pitch cos I saw him get subbed.
Maybe sometimes it doesn’t hurt not jumping in.

It seems like the script that starts this thread has been re-written.

I am quietly confident that maybe Roy is assisting in getting the people in that he needs by encouraging Dougie et al in what to do.

This window just feels a little different

I dont think you can necessarily equate a failed signings performance as how they would do at our club. It depends on the manager and the players around them.
Oh and sometimes the referee.

Really? It feels exactly the same as our usual approach to me
