Not funny but no doubt it will appeal to knuckle draggers

A lot of postwar British humour was based on deflating the pompousness of the "upper classes." Monty Python was brilliant at this. The actors themselves came from a range of class backgrounds, which makes their humour even more broadly-based.

So not just knuckle draggers

Please don't call me a knuckle dragger. I find that offensive.

But that was 45 years ago and humour has changed. Monty Python was my favourite program in it's day but times change.

Let's not forget that sketches taking the mickey out of speech impediments came from an era when many people still called their black dog N***** and when kids played with golly**** none of which is acceptable in this day and age

Why would that appeal to knuckle draggers? Time of the month perhaps?

Yes it was 45 years or so.

Barry kripke is a character on "the big bang theory" a contemporary sit -com.

The humour is that of 45 years ago yet still people laugh.

Quote from Barry Kripke

Kripke: Siwi, can you wecommend a westauwant?
Siri: I'm sorry, Bawwy. I don't understand "wecommend a westauwant."

Quote from Barry Kripke

Barry Kripke: Listen to me. Not westauwant, westauwant. See, total cwap. You suck, Siwi!

Oxbridge educated knuckle draggers.

It's only a bit of fun. This just highlights the current social media trend where if you don't agree with someone else's subjective opinion they get told their opinion is wrong and that they are stupid.

The life of brian used daft comedy to ridicule the establishment including the church, the government, and activist all at the same time. It's silly jokes caused outrage to those who take themselves too seriously. It was a real trail blazer for all the parodies we have now.

Before Jesus was executed the Romans offered a pardon to one prisoner and the crowd picked known criminal Jesus Barabbas instead. The joke here could show that when offered the choice, the general public will go for a cheap laugh rather than a sensible option every time. Therefore, the joke is on the people who find the speech impediment funny and not on the impediment itself.

You could probably read into this in loads of different ways, but going back to my original statement, it's just a bit of fun.
