Money is tight currently by the looks of things. But apart from making crucial signings like a new goalkeeper and a solid CB, i feel the club ought to look into young prospects. A young striker or a midfielder would add further depth, couple of months/years of training maybe he can become 1st team striker.

You never know we might stumble across a wonder kid that will one day be as crucial as Zaha,

I think FdB wanted that route if you look at Riedewald and the loans

How does it look like money is tight?

I mean that by us not being able to spend any significant amount in the window compared to other clubs.

That’s what I mean. Even if the player underperforms but is not a flop. You can always make money off him in the future.

That wonder kid would still cost us £15m+ now. Unless we're going to spend a lot of money signing a lot of kids, I really don't have a problem with us signing slightly more proven players.

I'll take a James McArthur over a Jose Campana any day of the week.

You do realise that we have a lad called Nya Kirby in the ranks? Lokilo also looks like he could develop into a useful player.

Wilfs are very few and far between.

We can't afford to take the Chelsea / Man City approach of buying around 30 young hopefuls to loan them all back out and gamble that 2 or 3 of develop into elite level players.

Remember that Michael Hector we were about to sign from Reading? Opted for the Chelsea loan factory instead...wonder how that's working out for him?

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

we can never actually follow that policy unless we have stability in the managerial front.

i feel that in roy we have somebody less likely to walk away like pulis & sam did, but even with that, we all know roys propably got a couple of years left in him as a manager.

it will be interesting to see who he purchases as we have no idea really what he wants in terms of players.

In terms of Academies, I believe 15 PL clubs have a 'Category 1' academy but we are not one of them. We have a 'Category 2' academy.

One thing FdB did really good for us was getting Riedwald. Proving to be a quality player.

Amen to that. I think Riedwald has a bright future and provides us with great coverage in midfield and can play CB in a pinch. That's invaluable at the moment
