I wasn't aware there was one and I've been a member of both for a fair while, although mostly as a reader on the BBS, but there are a fair few who post on both. The two sites have a different feel to them and there is a tendency for one to be more right-of-centre than the other, but they're both good sites in their own way. There is occasionally a bit of jokey posting on one site about the other, but rivalry, I don't think so.

There is no rivalry as many Palace fans are members of both. Some post on both, some prefer the BBS and some prefer HOL.

It has often been the case that people banned from this site will take pot shots at us from the safety of another site and vice versa. In such situations most of the rubbish spouted is highly one sided on both sites much as in a divorce where both sides tell a different story.

I think it's easy to take things personally on the BBS when you got endlessly abused by the usual clique but after observing the site for a number of years I have realised that the regulars on the discussion threads were not 'innocently' objecting to opinions but in fact spend half their lives trolling, abusing and bullying selected posters, more often than not, just for their opinions.
The only difference between the 'famous' posters and the others that disappeared into oblivion is that they gave them as good as they got and caused the regulars to get a big hard on for them. They loved it.That is their reason for living in some cases. Then there is this whole folklore about what they said and who their other usernames were which is mostly a tissue of lies.
The internet really does highlight the limits of human beings.

On the HOL you just don't get away with that stuff as much, which is a very good thing, and that is the major difference. I have never observed any sort of rivalry.

Its 2018 maybe they should come out.
