I have written a (fairly long) blog post looking at whether the numbers support mine and many others beliefs that Wilf is the best player outside the top six Premier League clubs.

Pretty number heavy but hopefully you will enjoy. He has certainly taken a big step forward this season, even though he hasn't quite scored the goals/ got the assists he has deserved yet.

Enjoy!

Yep, those are 3 of the 4 I come to the conclusion of at the end from their contributions this season.

The last 1 is Arnautovic who was a surprise to me but is consistently very effective in the Prem.

Agree, although Sigurdsson is very reliant on his set pieces and has struggled to contribute much so far this season.

Vardy is great but he’s not producing at the same level as previously

agree with all above suggested. I do think Shaqiri is up there perhaps, along with Tarkowski at Burnley

Dont let Cabaye go

I'd rank Michail Antonio right up there with Zaha, despite his bad 17/18 season so far. In fact, I'd bid 15 million for Antonio rather than 10 for Matt Phillips. Moyes might just be stupid enough to sell him.

Mahrez and Vardy are obviously up there cause they've won a league, which Zaha hasn't.

Tadic from Southampon is a really good left footed player as long as he plays on the wing and not in the center. Best assister in the Eredivisie years in a row, good at Southampton last seasons on the wing.

Lanzini is a younger and less known Coutinho, plays both central and attacking midfielder, no wonder Tottenham wants him.

Shaqiri is the only reason Stoke is still up. As others have said, Sigurdsson kept Swansea up mostly by himself.

Bolasie used to be a promise, but with the injury.....

As for defenders, there are Michael Keane, Ryan Bertrand, Harry Maguire, even Sakho.

One player who I think will really prove himself i the following years is Knockaert.

These are pretty much all.

Arnautovic scores a lot but also does 0 defensive contribution. He is pretty slow and hardly recovers or drops back

Some good suggestions there but if you think Antonio is as good as Zaha, I'm guessing 15m wouldn't cut it

Pickford is also a good young goalie

Actually, given that winning the league has been pretty much a procession the last 3 years and the top 6 look set to be same indefinitely how about 2 teams voted in as the best from the rest and an 8 team knock-out to determine champs
