What a joke - "keeping you behind for 10 minutes", ended up more than half an hour. Moving, then stopping. After about 20 minutes got to Falmer station, squashed through one entrance (Hillsborough?) just so the OB can claim they controlled the crowd I remember a few years ago at Selhurst they kept us behind so the weed could walk to the station

Crowd control seemed to be concentrating on Palace supporters - only allowed to move under direction. By 22:30 the stadium will have been clear - job done. It would have been nice if having isolated us "troublemakers" there had been a little more effort to get BHA supporters quickly away from the scene. To be fair the police did give attention to BHA supporters standing at the top of the South Side Steps. Bearing in mind that Selhurst Station is Palace, with Norwood Junction shared, and Thornton Heath mainly away supporters, can separation be achieved by running one or two special trains for Brighton Supporters fast from Brighton to Thornton Heath?

I thought keeping us back would mean inside with the doors shut. Oh no. Open them. Everyone pushed and surged forward. Crushes again so certain sections could hurl abuse at Brighton who believe it or not share a coach park with our coaches. Poor organisation and thought yet again

Michaela, As with so many of your posts you are spot on. It would have helped if the doors had stayed closed - the bar was open at the end. The Police and security would have been able to export Brighton supporters quicker and we would have been happier with doors opening as an immediate step to going home.

The Police wanted trouble they let the mugs on the stairs give it to us and let the weed hang around the back of their coaches next to the stairs..and for what point as soon as we were let go I was through the carpark still full of home fans and so was the exit road... pointless! Getting arrested and having to produce id at local police stations every Saturday because of this of sh1t will keep me away from these away matches, sadly.

To be fair, I did enjoy the banter on the way to the station.
