Ok... Maybe not the best time to start this thread given the result tonight but let's put that aside....

Ok so I've been asked to put my CV in for a job. As some on here know I suffered a serious injury to my leg following a car accident 20 months ago which has left me unable to run and return to my job in frontline Policing. Seeing as the only reason I joined 17 years ago was to be on the frontline it has essentially ruined my Policing career.

So anyway this new job is at a Premiership football club. I can't go into details but it's an important but demanding role that pays very good money (alot more than i'm on now) and comes with perks to (company vehicle, mobile, credit card etc) The role would require me to wear the clubs tie... and occasionally the club's training top and coat...

So here's the hard bit.... The job is at Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club!!

What would you do??

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

A job is a job. Grab it. Just go underground for a while. Once Palace always Palace but you can just keep that to yourself.

I assume you don’t have a string of alternative offers, life isn’t like that nowadays. And Falmer and Lewes are nice places.

It’s a rivalry not life or death. I hate BHA but not every seaweeder.

I have a similar dilemma In I supply a number of supporters Clubs in NYC & can't bring myself round to wear any of their stuff although I know it would be good advertising for my business.

He hasn't said he doesn't have to wear that too....makes me sick. If you can't trust the filth who can you trust??

(Only joking KBLF).

I have a Brighton hat in my house - left in the kit bag by one of the kids I coach. I haven't burnt it yet. Must be going soft.

You don't have to be a weed fan. There's no point in having a football club unless there are other football clubs to play against and working for one of them is just providing the machinery that makes football work and provides us with the game we enjoy watching. It's not as if you'd be playing for the weed: you'd just be helping to provide access to football for people who want to watch it.

Good on you pal what is the job? Security? After watching on telly last night you shouldn’t be that busy because they don’t seem to have many fans. Although their rendition of Albion is good.

My son is a great Spurs fan and works at St James Park in Newcastle. No conflict of interest for him and there shouldn't be for you either
