Why were we only allocated 2000 tickets as the ground tonight is only 40% full...

Our small section of stand is packed which would indicate that we sold all our allocation.....

The Sussex Police wanted to be the stars of the show.

Those made up claims about discovering a massive arms cache were to justify a big heavy handed presence by plod, with all the limelight on the chief inspector.

I'm sure in his mind he was the man of the match.

Chief inspector: how important was your first confected outrage?

"Very important! Once you get the media on your side, you can settle down and start spraying press releases all over the park."

It looked about that to me too. Almost comical at times.

They "outsmarted" themselves by moving the match to a Monday night claiming there would be more rail service when there was a strike. Serves the weed and the West Midlands, er, Sussex Police right. Meanwhile, anyone for La Manga on 4th round weekend?

It was embarassing and demeaned us all.
Football in general, the FA Cup and the Palace-Brighton rivalry.
"What rivalry?" the neutral will ask?

Regardless of result, one of the most depressing football matches have watched in a long time.

The soul has been ripped out of football.
