Even if he has dropped out of the Arsenal first team, he is still a very good player. The £10m is a lot to pay for cover for Luka so Roy must have an active role for him in mind

Defintely rate him. Also frees up Cabaye to play further forward if needed and covers people swooping in for Luca.

Likes getting stuck in as I remember he should of seen red at Selhurst but for a weak referee. Not sure if this is an area we should be strengthening over striker, goalie and centre back.

Although it's only speculation but we do seem to be being linked to defensive midfielders at the moment, Coquelin, Colback and Amadou. Also seem to recall Roy saying he wanted to strengthen the midfield in this window. Bit undecided on Coquelin, Wenger seems to rate him. Although I do wonder if at 6 mill more Amadou could be a better option as more versatile because he can play equally as well at CB.

Maybe we're strengthening the midfield now before Cabaye leaves in the summer to make sure we're covered for next year and not playing catch up due to buying s dud in the summer and him not settling in. Would make some sense for once...

Would be a really good buy for 10 million, although right now we have other positions to strengthen.

Would make some sense for once... As Rudi said, I'm thinking this too. Whilst DM is not a priority position this could be a deal too good to turn down if he'd consider the move - potentially meaning we let Cabaye go this window & get a few £ from Marseille.
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |
