Who cares if Palace are knocked out of the cup tonight?

It will sting - because it's the Weed - but not that much. I just want a result tonight so as not to share the fate of our relegation rivals of having to shoehorn in a replay next week. Bournemouth, Swansea and West Ham all have replays.

Our squad is so banged up right now, I'll take a loss over a replay. I'm assuming Roy will be playing a lot of the usually unseen back-ups, and this is a good thing. If we lose, who cares? It was a reserve team game. If we win, we beat the Weed with our reserves!

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

I do.

As per a post on another thread, pretty much my only wish as a football fan is to see the FA cup with red and blue ribbons on it.

My usual Palace paranoia has gone into reverse this year. Under Pardew, when we were fifth at Christmas the lurking fear was always that we'd lose 18 games on the trot and go down...and it all but happened. It could be argued that the cup was a distraction then.

This year started as badly as it could, but has now got progressively better. Roy has worked wonders. All our 22 points from the last 15 games make me think we are not going to go down. Players derided on HoL as not being good enough (am sure there were threads suggesting Jimmy Mac was a busted flush) are now playing well enough to keep us in the division.

On that basis, I don't want us giving up on the Cup, especially not at Brighton. By all means use some players sparingly...but let's not roll over and die.

As long as we lose with an obviously secod-string eleven then I'm not too bothered. If we have a couple of reserves but most of the regulars I'll be absolutely gutted to lose to the weed, as ever (although it rarely happens ). I don't expect scenario '2' though, as I reckon Roy is lining up most non-regulars.

Main wish is that it is decided tonight. We win great we loose so be it - but avoid the draw and a replay.
Can then concentrate on Burnley and another 3 points.

I`ll be happy if Glen Murray sends us out of the cup.
We need to focus on Burnley and so on,,,,

I care. It would be great to win the FA Cup. We have enough strength in the squad for a mid table finish and a good cup run.

I think I'd rather be knocked out tonight than have to contest a replay. If it's level towards the end, let's just go all in and try to win it, regardless of how open it leaves us.

No, we don't We are missing two first-choice CBs (Dann gone for the season), the first-choice RB and we have only one fit striker. Our midfield is thin, Puncheon also gone for the season, Cabaye can't complete a full game these days and we are another key injury away (e.g. Zaha) from not being able to score.

The fewer miles we put on these players, the better.

I care. If we lose against Brighton they'll be crowing from their designer rooftops. Any game against Brighton is a must must must win. Also winning becomes a habit. Win this one and we'll be feeling much more confident in the league. Would love to see Palace go on a great cup run and even better lift the thing at Wembley beating West Ham 6 nil having already thrashed Brighton, Arsenal and Spurs along the way.
