There's a serious point to be made as too how today's political and public/private institutions are responding and reacting against comedy that someone or groups might find offensive..

I remember when the 'hate speech' laws were introduced a few years ago by our SJW May as home secretary and commentators such as Rowan Atkinson and today's David Davies amongst many others attacking it for being open to abuse.

[Link]

Didn't change anything and the 'slippery slope' claim was denied as you'd expect.

Well, now we have a YouTuber called Count Dankula, who occasionally posts comedic videos on his channel which some might find offensive....here's one he did recently.

[Link]

Well, he also did one where he trained his girlfriend's dog...which she said was really cute, he trained it to make a Nazi salute. He wanted to get it to do the most offensive thing he could think of......satirical comedy is being shut down when enough people can convince the state to act.

Well, he's being taken to court for 'hate speech'. This is our own Police doing this.

Here's Tim Pool's video on the matter.

Some of them want to tell you what you can laugh at now.

....when collectivism goes too far.

I won't just attack progressives on the left for this though because this is in the modern day Tory party here today.

Politicians want everyone on their side, especially those who's numbers are growing rapidly.

We literally have lawyers for the crown arguing in court that a man should be sent to jail for teaching his dog a Nazi salute.

Good job Mel Brooks isn't making movies anymore.....the world has gone completely mad.

Progressivism is progress in the same way a tumour progresses throughout the body.

I used to think that the banning of words on a page or spoken was a good thing.
But all it does is hides away peoples true feelings.
Can we really think that because we don't see it or hear it then it doesn't exist.
People still use racist language when they think that it is safe to do so.
Isnt it better to let people say what they like, so at least we know who they are.

Contrary to popular belief free speech has never been a right in the UK. You would think it is the way that politicians bang on about us being a free democratic country "we cherish our freedoms etc."

The reality is that we have always restricted free speech through libel, blasphemy and obscenity laws. Now we have further restricted it through so called hate laws.

Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights "appears" to say that free speech is a right subject to conditions set by a democratic government. In other words this is a pretty weak right.

[Link]

The first amendment to the US constitution guarantees free speech as the default position. Any restrictions will end up in the Supreme court.I would like to see us adopt this position.

Hate crime is horrible but I believe people have a right to free speech unless they are inciting violence.
If you want to stand in Hyde Park and spout off about foreigners the rest of us don't have to listen. That doesn't mean that the BBC is obliged to give you a daytime show.

I know a football fan who was jailed for 1 year for singing a disgusting racist song. I have no sympathy for his views but I was staggered that this was a crime.

Today we appear to have free speech just as long as you don't offend anyone. And these days people seem to be offended very easily.

The idea that somehow being able to racially verbally abuse or able to harangue with bigotry a la Britain First should be legal and a right is preposterous and nasty.

Maybe some would feel more at home in Putin's Russia or Alabama in the 1950's.

As for the Nazi salute. That is funny. We have political correctness today (imported from the U.S in the early 70's) and scummy lawyers who trawl the gutter for their fat fee opportunities who only say otherwise and even then they don't believe it really.

There are a lot of things that we have copied from the U.S that have been detrimental to the U.K generally. Would rather we had taken our influences from Europe more.

The left want to ban right wing abuse but want to keep the privilege of the left to abuse as they see fit.
