We were linked with this guy in the past and Chelsea have apparently said that he can leave Stamford Bridge. Could do a decent job for us.
Let's keep the ball this season! |

Agree. Reckon he'd be perfect for us. By no means the finished article but we never get to keep finished articles or even buy them due to modern day market prices ...

I, too was wondering about this, how much would he cost tho? Plus point, imo, would be his relationship with Tekkers seeing as they are Int team mates, could be the BIG kick up the arse Tekkers needs. Just my opinion
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

They could play very well together. Would probably be £30m quid though. If we have the money it'd be a great shout, it's an exciting attack to join. Plus Croydon is much better than Chelsea. There's a BoxPark

There's a BoxPark I wouldnt pay over £20 for him, theres a reason chelsea want to get rid and its cos hes not that good, and they overpaid, but could be a link up with benteke so not a bad buy,,,for £20m!

No chance we could get him.. surely? (1) I don't think he would want to leave Chelsea permanently and we do not have any loan spaces left. (2) If he did want to leave permanently, we would not pay £30m for him (which is probably about the amount Chelsea would want)

As has been said, we were linked with him before. He used us as leverage to get his move to Chelsea. He obviously thought he was too good for us then, so feck him. He's nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.

Would love to see him at Palace. Could work great with Benteke.

I think we'd have to trade Benteke for him rather than pay full fee. However, we could arguably get 5 good seasons or more out of him as our main striker whereas Benteke might well be shot after this season. A difficult one as it leaves us in the same position but is it an upgrade? Would still need to buy another additional striker of course if it was a trade.
