Can anyone think of any young right backs with potential to be good enough in the Premier League that we could sign thinking of the future? For now Ward, Fosu-Mensah and Kelly will have to do as we need to focus on getting a couple of strikers and a goalkeeper but is there anyone we could sign now on the cheap thinking of the future? Maybe someone from the lower leagues or abroad even if we was to loan them straight out. Can anyone think of anyone?

Kit Symons signed him for Fulham.
Can also play on either flank.

On topic:
Mitchell Weiser from Hertha (23 yo)
Felix Passlack from Heffenheim, but belonging to Bor Dortmund (19 yo)
Silvan Widmer from Udinese (24)
DeAndre Yedlin from Newcastle (24)
Trent Alexander Arnold from Liverpool (19)
Dominic Iorfa from Ipswich (20)
Oh yeah, there;s also Almamy Toure from Monaco (21 yo)

There would also be young players like Henrichs from Leverkusen or Toljan from Dortmund, but I think they're already settled at a big club and would cost more than Palace could afford

if the bundesliga is where we're looking, then ,maybe philipp max from augsburg as a left back if van aanholt and souare leave? Good defender with attacking upside, and as they are a small club they probably won't demand too much.

Speroni would've saved it!

Yedlin : Certainly an attacking right-back who surges forward at pace.Has a long throw in his 'Armoury'.

Alexander-Arnold : Another attack-minded right-back but who spent most of his youth career in central midfield.I have seen him score from free kicks over a wall.Klopp believes he need to improve on the defensive side of his game.

Iorfa : Currently on loan at Ipswich from Wolves. A centre-half by trade but Kenny Jackett turned him into a right-back at Wolves.Very quick.Son of striker Dominic Iorfa who played for QPR and other clubs, I think in the 90s.

I'm surprised we didn't go for a right back in the January transfer window even as back up for Ward and Fosu-Mensah and thinking for the future. There must be decent young/teenage rights backs in the lower leagues that could have potential to be a premier league full back?

I've been watching Nico Elvedi at Gladbach the last couple years...21 with a lot of ability and confidence already. Can also slot into CB in a pinch. Keep an eye on him at the World Cup for the Swiss...

Gladbach can offer him European football most years but they've been in a sell-cycle once players start peaking (i.e. Xhaka, Dahoud, Kruse)

Would be a decent cost to him but well worth it. Possible he'll be getting some interest from a few bigger clubs abroad though so we'll see.

Michael Phillips? I don't think that he's a full back although Wan-Bissaka did play as a right wing back in Frank de Boer's pre season tournament in Hong Kong
