We all knew it we had a good squad, we had spent money and new we were capable of more. We are showing that now and ARE going to pull away from danger. Great performance today and fantastic feeling I love you palace

Why would Pardew have had any effect this season? Allardyce sorted us out, De Boer turned us into a total mess and the team lost any confidence. Not only has Roy settled us down, made sure everyone knows what they're doing, and made sure we play in a consistent style that uses our strengths, but he's restored the confidence.

Because December 19th 2 years ago we beat stoke 2-1 at their place and went to 5th in the league, pardew was talking about being England manager and we dropped until big Sam came in. He saved us and then left (shows unrest) De boer came in and dragged us to hell and now Roy has come in and I agree with you , levelled things off but I think this goes back to pardew ripping the soul out the squad at the time

I started to lose hope on Tuesday - especially after the dropped points vs B'mouth. But today showed we have a good team and Roy seems to make the squad function well. We were without three key players today and yet played them off the park.

I must hold my hands up, i was very pleased with the Hodgson appointment, but very underwhelmed with Lewie and Reid, but fair play to them this is down to more than just the manager

1. We didn't sign a striker during the transfer window. They are the two reasons that we started the season so badly. Both are Parish's fault and nothing to do with Pardew.

Under FdB, we seemed to be passing for the sake of passing. The was very little running at the opposition defense and putting them under pressure. The defense, with 3 at the back, was totally shambolic. Roy junked that and was bolstered by the Sakho deal. He's also raised the player's confidence level and re-established the organized play that Big Sam instituted. I was concerned going in to today's match with the injuries to the back but they played Leicester off the pitch. Roy has proven to be a realist about what he has to work with and has put a system in place that suits the players rather than FdB's insistence that the players adjust to his style. Staying up now seems a lot more realistic than it did a month ago. That doesn't mean that we don't need a successful January window to bring in players, particularly a keeper, defender and attacker. I'm happy to stick with Jules through January and sell Wayne provided a top quality keeper is brought in. It just seems the side plays with more confidence with Jules right now.

Yes we've turned it round in about an hour's worth of football. 6 points. I think we all knew we needed 2 back to back wins and they didn't look like coming but things change and confidence and momentum at the top level is huge.

Don’t know why people keep saying we were passing a lot under de boer. may have been his philosophy but we never had any of the ball. got torn to shreds by huddersfield, wasn’t any passing from where i was sitting
