He's done and is doing a good job making us hard to beat- the points tally since Chelsea is testament to that - but Roy's got to figure out how we get the 4 creative players working more effectively. Wilf is a winger if you aske me while RLC isn't - and surely needs to play off Benteke is we are playing 4 4 2. CB is often too isolated with this setup IMO. Thoughts? Zaha isn’t a striker and needs to go back into the wing. Although I can understand Roy’s reasons to try him up front Loftus should play the hole behind Benteke because he isn’t a winger However I’d go one step further, I’d have it out with android and make him play on the left. He wants to play right wing and cut in. Well that’s only good if he does more infield but he doesn’t. So either play android on left and wild on right (still wilfs best position; right wing) or like before constantly swap them during the games. And play milo JUST in front of the back four like big Sam did rather than central midfield. He’s a dmc. Other than that we are a form team and perhaps playing these players in these positions makes us harder to beat, what do I know? I reckon in two or three weeks time we’ll have two new strikers anyway and a lot will change

If hes hell bent on 4 4 2 he should play RLC up front with Benteke. Wilf and Andros on oppodite flanks

Agree with the thoughts. It doesn't work enough how it is. I'd have Andros left and Wilf right 1st half mainly, with maybe a swap 1st half but definitely one late on in the 2nd half, especially at home. Wilf on the left v tired full backs late on definitely works. I expect there'll be changes when hopefully some signings happen.

We are on an unbeaten run of 6 games, Roy and Ray have years of experience and watch the players training, so they know what they can do.

Yes I kind of agree. everyone can see that RLC is being wasted out wide, he just doesnt look comfortable there. We are missing creativity through the middle and have the answer imo stuck out on left. And Wilf is WIlf, he's a winger, an exceptional one at that. However as you have pointed out we are 6 unbeaten and he is getting results. Cant really take Roy to task with that. Roy has had a massive impact.

I suspect this is a temporary situation imposed by the existence of only one fit striker in the squad. If January goes as planned, we will have more options available. For my part, I would love to see the wingers swapping over and bamboozle the opposition like Zaha and Bolasie used to do under Pardew before the squad was ravaged by injury.

Yes, we're on a 6 game unbeaten run, but the performances haven't been particularly good. We didn't have a shot on target last night until the 88th min, Stoke was probably lucky too, as would have been against Bournemouth if we had won on Sat. WBA was a good point, but on paper we should be beating Brighton, and didn't offer anything going forward that night. One real chance if I remember correctly. These are all teams who are struggling, and on another day the result could have gone the other way - we're not exactly playing them off the park. RLC struggles to get into the game on the wing, and Wilf struggles to get the ball to feet alongside Benteke - yesterday's goals came from Wilf on the wing. But onwards & upwards, i'll take picking up points and not playing well... you just worry our luck may change soon if we don't up our level of performance.

On yesterday's performance, I'd move Townsend to the bench. We need battlers at the moment especially in the away games, too much of a 'luxury' player for me. I don't think Sako is the answer but he will battle.
