Last Tuesday I bought a ticket for the Bournemouth game via the palace website using my client reference number. The ticket was for seat 31 in row 23 of block B in the lower Homesdale. Just before kick off, 2 fellow supporters announced that they were season ticket holders for the seat on my ticket and the one next to it. I vacated the seat and raised the issue with a senior steward who apologised and asked me if I'd ever sat in this part of the ground which I have not. He asked me if I'd received a warning from the website whilst booking this ticket in this part of the ground and I said no. He then moved me to another part of the Lower Holmesdale (front of block E behind the goal).

Can anyone shed any light on the 'warning' that I should have received from the website whilst attempting to book in this part of the ground? If the seat was already allocated to a season ticket holder then why did the website make it available to me last Tuesday? ( I will add that the guys who came and claimed the seats were reasonable) I've contacted the club for an explanation, but just wanted to ask on here too
