Apart from the nasty scenes at the Amex there was total chaos at Selhurst for the beam back.
For some reason the powers that be found it beyond them to cope with the thousand or two supporters that turned up.
They started with one turnstile open which was right at the top of Holmesdale Road, eventually the penny dropped and they opened a couple more.
After queuing for 20 minutes I got in to see hundreds of people trying to squeeze down a narrow staircase, luckily nobody tripped over.
For some reason only the upper Holmesdale was open, the furthest distance from the screen.
Most fans didn't have binoculars so a lot of them were crammed in by the bars, watching on the small TV's.
All in all a total shambles, amateur organisation & a complete disregard for the supporters. It was easier getting in to Wembley for the cup final.
Thankfully we gained a valuable point at the end of it.

Yeah, I was with my nephew and two mates, and we were up on the stands for half hour. I've got very good eyesight, and I could barely see it, so I wonder how much my nephew and mate (who both wear glasses) found it! I thought they were gonna have a big projector screen or something.

I did enjoy it downstairs though, to be fair.

I enjoyed it in the red and blue bar. Nice and warm, good company and a free beer. Only the football ruined it.
I was frisked on entry which was a totally baffling experience.

Totally not surprised that even this simple thing was beyond the wit of the " team " who are employed at SP.

Its been the " piss up brewery play " for years.

I would bet someone at a meeting the next day declared it a great success

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

We are a Premiership club being run like a pub side. Surely us loyal fans deserve better?

This seems a little ungrateful.

With the free drink, it was effectively a free opportunity to watch the match.

Thanks Palace for organising it.

All good. Nothing bad.

The amount that Sky pay each premier league team I think they should be providing this sort of service for every away match. I don't think it would have too detrimental an effect on the away travelling support as nothing beats the feeling of actually being there, but if they got it right with a decent size screen, they would sell enough beers and food to make a tidy profit from the day.

I watched game there Tuesday with a mate and I thought it was fine. We stood by the bar so had a few beers while watching, plenty of screens, it was busy but not uncomfortable. Plus of course first beer was free so effectively cost 50p to get in what’s not too like.
We both said after we would do it again if we couldn’t get tickets to actually be there.
Shame we didn’t get the win but I think most of us would have settled for point before kick off?

I can imagine Steve Parish scouring HOL to try and find the best site to stream the match from

Free really? so everyone went along and had 1 pint and watched the game then.
Club would have made a tidy profit from bar takings at the rip off prices they charge.

We arrived just after 19.00 and did not have to queue.
Big screen was too far away for my ageing eyes but there were plenty of tv's in the bars and a great atmosphere.
Some people obviously just like to moan.
