A very sad day in Egypt. I remember reading a few years ago that the war against Islamic fundamentalists would never end and it certainly looks like that's true

RIP. One branch of a nutty religion slaughters another, for what...poor b******s. Edited by Midlands Eagle (25 Nov 2017 7.48am) To be honest Sufism is a very different sect of Islam to most, which tends to de-prioritise the teachings of the orthodox in favour of a view that Allah is present in all things, and thus true worship is the worship of all things. They tend to be very poetic, mystical and less dogmatic than most other religious groups, and the music and poetry they produce is truly beautiful. Obviously this is a tragedy regardless of colour or creed, but it's worth respecting that the diversity of Islam is symbolised in this atrocity. The perpetrators worship a very different God to the victims.

shows it not purely an islam problem Well, it's always Islamists who are doing it so it is an Islam problem. It also just happens that Muslims are often the victims as well.

Sufism is popular in metropolitan Turkey so is a sign it has made it's peace with secularism.
