Moose In the sewer pipe... 23 Nov 17 4.04pm | |

Seems as though Jon Venables now spends his time getting off on child abuse photos. I wonder whether sometimes society should just acknowledge a total psychopathic wrong'un and quietly dispose of them. Who'd miss him?
Goodness is what you do. Not who you pray to. |

Second time - He's on a life licence - he shouldn't be released again. Two serious violations of his life parole conditions both convictions.

They threw paint in his eyes and murdered him with rocks and a metal bar. I'm not so sure the state has done a very good job on justice here.......sure spent a sh1t load of money though.

It's unusual in that very young child killers when given a chance of freedom after incarceration fvck it up for themselves. This bloke must just be wired wrong in the head in a permanent way. It's not that he wouldn't have had loads of psychoanalysis help. Too risky to let free again now. He obviously doesn't have self-control even at his age now. Edited by Kermit8 (23 Nov 2017 5.10pm)

There was a rumour here a few years ago that one of them was involved in running a local pub. Whether it was true or not I'm not sure - whoever they were they did a moonlight flit.
We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell] |

For some reason I think the other one was reported as having moved to Australia. There was a rumour not to long ago that Maxine Carr was living in my sisters town, and working at a school as a Teaching assistant. There was a case of someone being deliberately identified as John Venables, to his neighbours by someone who had an issue with the h - I think the guy got a suspended sentence.

I remember when Robert Oliver was outed - he of that paedophile gang in the 80's that killed some of their victims - for living near Taunton he was soon run out of town. And another one of them, Sidney Cooke, unfortunately was known to have links to Croydon and locality. Two kids still missing from those days.

By all accounts his home life was appalling. That set his horrible train in motion. Oh dear. That applies to probably countless thousands of people. Including know doubt a few on here, but that doesn't excuse his behaviour. He should now be locked up for the rest of his life.

I think people look at this wrong. Yes, it can explain someone's behaviour, it might even reasonably excuse someone's behaviour, but that doesn't mean they aren't a threat to society or the public in general. Some people become terrible monsters as a result of their childhood. Doesn't mean they should be allowed leeway for serious crimes. Only that society probably should consider how to deal with the occurrence of such conditions in society before they produce such monsters.
