Got a bit of an issue. Bought 2 Brighton tickets thinking nothing of it on 2 season tickets but one of the tickets is my Aunts and going to my best mate.

Just seen on Croydon Advertiser that there will be strict security in place not letting you in if the ticket doesn’t match the ID.

I’ve often gone to away games with friends booked on other tickets with no bother but is this likely to be stringently upheld?

Needless to say both me and my friend aren’t hooligans with any history of violence and just want to enjoy the game but I assume the Security won’t see it that way.

Did you need the section on our website about the tickets then? It was very clear about ID. I could have bought one on my wife's ticket for a mate, as she's in Crete, but when I read it decided it was no go.

Unfortunately not. I actually completely forgot the tickets went on sale and missed out. I asked to be put on the waiting list for returns and was fortunate enough to get 2. Upto this point everything has been done by phone with the Box Office.

At no point, other than minutes before posting this thread, had I seen anything about it and that was just perusing the Croydon Advertiser website.

Had I not seen it, we’d of turned up with a couple of paper tickets and I wouldn’t even have my season ticket with me.

Does your mate have any women's clothes he can wear? Charity shops?

Kick him in the balls before ID checks and he should bend over double and get through.

Sorry to hear that, would think you will have to give the ticket back then.

Just read the info on the Palace website. So it seems they are only saying season ticket and paper ticket have to match. No photo ID is required.

Obviously he's welcome to my Aunts season ticket but surely, even if they match, the word 'Mrs' will prevent him getting in.

Maybe I could try the trans-identity fad that's going around.

In all seriousness though, if he has a matching season ticket with paper ticket, do you see this being a problem?

Kermie.....

With the greatest respect mate, what you do in your private life has NO bearing on this topic....& besides 'Cucking' has a better way.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

There was nothing on the official site about a separate ID being needed. As long as the name on the ticket matches the name on the season ticket then that is what matters.
