As the moment builds up for Chancellor's delivery (nope, I'm not THAT excited either however BREXIT etc means that it will make for a difference) , what do you hope will happen as well as your reflections of what has been eventually announced?

Hopefully Hammond will find £1bn to give to Palace to sign Neymar and Messi etc

No doubt that 'Gusset' chap will chip in to discredit the budget.

I have a proclivity to stay well clear of the political debates because as sure as night follows day they would only disintegrate into tedious WILLO threads and there have been enough of these to last a lifetime.

Threads can be very easily de-railed by those who chose to hurl vitriol in my direction leading to a response from 'Yours Truly' so in the interests of HOL it is perhaps beneficial that I give them a good old 'Body swerve'.

I have a meeting tonight with Tory chums and we will be discussing the budget so I'll make my views known to them rather than on HOL.

Whatever is in the budget, the left will attack it. The Tories could announce taking into public ownership all means of production, distribution and exchange, and all power to the parish councils. Still they would say it is too little, too late. Their condemnation will be accompanied by 'statistics' on people dying of hunger due to Tory policies and the attitudes of Daily Mail readers.

Why post to say you're not going to post?

Literally why I hardly bother coming on here now:

2nd post is Willo turning it into a Willo thread.

3rd post, hegdehog slagging off the left.

So effin' tedious.

To be fair, people who come on occasionally to criticise posters who make regular contributions are the most tedious.
And er, actually breaking the 'new' rules.

The budget is a non-event where the current chancellor grandstands his tinkering around as being the start of the new Britain.

All good tories throughout the land hail him and the leaderene, the Daily Mail is agog at the 'new Britain'.

After a couple of days normal infighting and failures resume and the westminster windows frost over further distancing it from the real world where our future and prospects are actually decided.

First number on my 'Left's response to Budget' bingo card.

You know that Jeremy Corbyn has his cue cards already written for all eventualities.

Corbyn will be handing over the 40 billions just the same.

Interesting bits on housing

£44bn capital funding to boost skills, land, SME Builders Loan, Urban Regenration, and Local Council HRH Caps to be reduced.

Planning reform for Urban areas to allow Local Authorities to grant homes for 1st time buyers, and to look into why 170+ planning permissions granted in London haven't seen the building built. If this land is being withheld for commercial rather then development reasons then possibly open to Compulsory Purchase.

Also for 1st Time Buyers, removal of stamp duty for homes up to £300k as of TODAY (good)
