Is this the season Wilf will reach his full potential? Scoring goals, looking accomplished and very confident. Think losing Benteke for a while could of helped Wilf, got to be worth a fortune now. Well done Wilf and thanks for putting in a massive effort every week.

Despite getting on the scoresheet i actually thought Wilf was a bit off the boil yesterday. Although he had covered alot of miles with the Ivory Coast and he is entitled to a quiet game every so often!!
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

It's a reflection of how well the rest of the team played that it wasn't too noticeable.

Thought he was poor by his standards yesterday. In the Spurs game he was the best player on the pitch up until his miss. After that he couldn’t beat a player. He looked the same yesterday. I think that miss combined with failure to qualify for the World Cup last week has rattled him. He’s a real confidence player and I hope he can put it behind him quickly.

Was being crowded out by the defence from that position. He’s much more dangerous collecting the ball out wide and tearing forward into the box.

I know it sounds a bit silly, but I don't think the weather will have helped Wilf's game and I think Everton's bully-boy tactics worked well in the second half, especially given the referee's decision to do sweet FA. He also seemed less inclined to take people on and did a lot of one-twos with Schlupp. I think he played well just a lot more reserved than normal.
