Am quite intrigued to see others' opinion on this: with January approaching we obviously need a new keeper. Thoughts on these choices? [Link]

Willo, your suggestions are almost always good, but who the heck has seen this guy play at high level?

Thank you for the compliment.

Lawlor has not played at a higher level - I have seen him play once for Doncaster and he seemed confident and accomplished.

I have been thinking about less established goalkeepers who could well provide some valuable cover and have the ability to put some pressure on those above them.We are 'Light' in the goalkeeping cover with only 2 senior keepers.

In terms of a 1st team slot, there is Adrian and Darren Randolph but the latter might not be able to be prised away from Middlesbrough.Back in 2013/14 season one of the keepers on my radar was then Charlton's Nick Pope and he has performed excellently since he replaced the injured Tom Heaton but again we might not be able to prise him away.

I think that after the treatment that Hennessey has received we are going to have trouble recruiting any keeper who has EPL reputation. Replacing the fans favorite in Speroni even though he is past his best is a thankless task. I can't think of any keepers that RH will have had before who would want to come so the personal relationship on this occasion will not help. Of the ones you suggest I can't see ant of english based coming, Pope would be my favorite but Charlton connections and replace Speroni will be very difficult. Unless we wish to spend around £10 million I can't see either of European players coming which leaves Blake and he couldn't get work permit.
Also I can see Hennessey going in January (he is out of contract in Summer) and a deputy for Speroni coming in (possibly someone like Lawlor), with U23 keeper remaining 3rd Choice.

Some of the keepers who have been at clubs when Hodgson has been manager :

David Stockdale, Pepe Reina, Brad Jones, Ben Foster.

Yes but all getting on and possibly other than Brad Jones would they come? These are recent quotes from player which suggest they are happy where they are
"David Stockdale has revealed putting his family first was behind the decision to leave Brighton for Birmingham" (aged 32)
"Pepe Reina's agent has confirmed that the Napoli goalkeeper has turned down the chance to join Paris Saint-Germain and will be staying at Napoli" Aged 35
Brad Jones, also 35 Feyenoord in the Eredivisie
Ben Foster" wants to finish his career at West Brom - but not until he’s spent at least a decade at The Hawthorns." aged 34

I don't think they would let him go but Danny Ward at Liverpool played well last year at Huddersfield.
