The trick is to use your loaf when reading anything from anywhere. (Apologies to bakers - no offence meant.)

I generally regard twitter as a source of useful information, in the way children should regard shoddy panel vans as a source of free sweets. In an ideal world, ownership of a twitter account should be grounds for being refused the right to vote (at the very least).

And I should believe this more than the 'propaganda' in question because? Still delighted that we are leaving and still feeling sorry for all those sad t***s who are trying to derail it.

I think its an interesting issue. A lot of people who voted Brexit, were always voting Brexit - and had been against the EU for a long time (rightly or wrongly). The question really is how effective was such a ploy in affecting people who were less decided. I've no idea, I have zero interest in Twitter. But if it is reasonable to assume someone or group will go to the effort and expense to utilise social media for political ends, and we've seen it used successfully, I think its dangerous to just dismiss evidence of foreign political involvement in creating political interference. The Chinese and Russians have long been ahead of the curve in terms of utilising electronic based espionage - and a part of espionage is creating instability and manipulating other states (allied or otherwise).
