This is a rumour from my country. There have been talks about Alibec being targeted by Palace since september. Andone was wanted by Burnley as a replacement for Andre Gray. Steaua is asking for 10 million for Alibec, Deportivo is asking for 20 million for Andone. Both clubs could lower their demands as the players have been substitutes lately.
Alibec is a big target man, very technical and good with the ball. He sometimes has these amazing assists that no one could think of. In this regard, I could compare him to Arnautovic and Andy Carrol. His big problem is that he's pretty chubby (actually quite fat) and this prevents him from moving a lot during games. I think in this regard, he'd be a striker like Rondon or Troy Deeney in the Premier League. If a team is happy with that lack of movement up front....He's probably the best option from Eastern Europe in regards to technical ability, he assists just as much as he scores. A champion with Astra in Romania, he's now with Steaua Bucharest, already qualified to the final stages of the Europa League.

Andone from Deportivo is different type. He's fast, agile, he's a killer and never gives up on chasing the ball, but not very technically gifted. He is also strong and can play as a target man, but he's not very tall as to PL standards for a target man. He could also play as second striker. He has had great seasons in both the Segunda Division, where he was top goalscorer 3 years ago, and in the Primera Division, with a good ratio of goals and assists to minutes played last year. This year...he wasn't used very much as the new manager prefers Lucas Perez, who came back from Arsenal, but he still managed to score 2 and assist 2 more in just 500 minutes of playing time.

Both are strikers for the Romanian national team and were participants at the Euro tournament 1 year ago. They failed to qualify for the World Cup for next year, as Lewandowski's Poland and Eriksen's Denmark finished above Romania.

In my personal opinion, Alibec is a very good striker for weaker defenses, but couldn't cope in the Premier League, where you need to be fast and agile.
Andone is one of the best emerging strikers in Spain, any team that mostly plays counter attacking football should buy him.

You're welcomed. Would anyone want one of them at the club? Or Slimani? Or Cenk Tosun?

These pretty much seem the options for winter

I think people are wrong to write off Slimani too quickly, although he might not suit the prem, Tosun might fancy the toon, he'd be warming the bench for Spurs, he's banging them in in the champs league and in Turkey and I wouldn't say no, and 20mil looks the expected price - might be more versatile and mobile than Benteke by many accounts.

Interesting, thank you :-)

From your description of Alibec one might as well get Adebayo Akinfenwa, who is also built like a brick s***house to the point where he has difficulty moving about during games as you put it. Andone sounds more like a Fraizer Campbell type (again purely from your description), perhaps good as a sort of "defensive attacker" to track back and keep the ball away from our penalty area but with the usual shortcomings when it comes to banjos and cows' arses.

I have seen Andone playing before, and even being a total fighter he's probably not the striker we are looking for.
Maybe playing as a second striker or as a rescuer coming from the bench at the second half.

Still, prefer Andone than Bakary Sako.
