Will Donkin

Hi all, I’m the co founder of a new Football website called From the Tofu Bowl, the topic of our site is about East Asian Football. I am based in Taipei, Taiwan and followed the national team since I came here as there isn’t any other worth watching. The Taiwan national team will play away next week against Turkmenistan and the country has went a bit crazy because Will Donkin has been called up to the team for the game. The reason it has been big news here is that they have maybe 6-7 professional players at most and the only European based player plays for KV Mechlen in Belgium. What I really want to ask is could you guys tell me anything about Will Donkin at all? The only thing I could find about him is you signed him from Chelsea where he was released (if I remember correctly) other than that there’s bollocks all. His name translated to Will Doughnuts on google translate which was mildly amusing. Any info about him would be greatly appreciated.

Donkin's currently in the Taiwan (or Chinese Taipei if you prefer) team for the CTFA International Tournament. Mostly been an impact sub and in both games has come on and registered assists, one from a corner and another from a cross in-play. Seems to be a good experience for him which could help him in the long run at Palace. The final game against Laos kicks off in about 15 minutes, third game in as many days for him.
