....that the team could benefit more from Cabaye playing a little more advanced?

I'd say the reason we are struggling is due to the lack of a striker, proved yet again today. Played really well, typical that their keeper gets the MOTM award. Keep the faith, I think we look good.

I am not at all worried and remain confident that we will beat the drop. Why..... 1. Given that we are not playing with a centre forward, we are playing well as today showed.Defensively we are looking tight and disciplined which, we weren't at the beginning of the season and a few games into Roy's reign. A lot of work has obviously been done on the training pitch and more to come no doubt. It is not a good situation but there is reason for more than hope. Keep the faith and COYP!

Last 4 games has seen 1 win, 2 losses and 1 draw... However our performances have been very promising. Keep the faith.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Good performance again today. Everything seems to be coming together apart from the most important part. The ridiculous transfer window is what will send us down.

In my very humble opinion only Huddersfield, City and Utd have deserved to beat us, yet we only have 4 points. Against, Southampton, West Ham and Spurs only the keeper has saved them, against Swansea we were undone by Kelly and Burnley, Liverpool and Newcastle we more than deserved a draw. I think we're turning the corner. Cannot knock the performance today whatsoever. Deserved a point at the very least. Nobody had a bad game and I personally believe that was one of the best performances Cabaye has had for us. So so gutted about the result but feeling confident for the future, if we can play like that in our next few games against the 'lesser' clubs then we'll get a few more points on the board

I WILL keep the faith (I promise) but as a 'seasoned campaigner', to me this season bears all the hallmarks of one of those typical years when nothing will go right, and my fear is that this will continue. Yet another annoying and unjust 1-0 defeat against the spuds would be a bit more bearable, if only we took 'justified' points elsewhere (4 or 6 against Newcastle and WHU, for example). But in a 'typical year' such as this, we are then never quite up to the mark when we play such teams, or we'll get an outrageous bit of bad luck or a dodgy decision etc etc. Sorry, I guess I'm just feeling a bit gloomy after yet another day of 'what might have been'. There can only be so many of those left. As others have said - yes, maybe we'll take 6 points from the next couple of games and all will be well.

De Boer's appointment was an utter disaster. With a worthless pre-season, confidence drained and Hodgson inheriting a shambles we've been chasing points and snatching at opportunities ever since. Forget the lack of a striker. Benteke missed big chances against Liverpool, Burnley and Southampton. Puncheon missed from two yards against Southampton and so goes on. We've looked a better side without both but lacked ice in the veins when it was needed. Fine margins.
