Hero of the left, Red Robbo - dead.
We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell] |

Proof that some dinosaurs survived the meteor. The good old days that Jeremy Corbyn and his communist chums would like to bring back.

His funeral should be left for a few weeks in remembrance of the days in the 70s when people couldn't get buried or cremated due to strikes.

Look at how Unions operate in Germany, how strong the car industry is - with generally high wages.

The UK car industry sunk into near oblivion as a result of bad management and lack of investment....blame conveniently pushed onto the unions with scapegoats like Derek Robinson...some naive people even believe the myth to this day. As another poster has said, funny how the German car industry has done so well with strong unions but with the added ingredient of good investment and strong management.

It was also nationalised at the time. So even allowing for some of the perceived lack of investment as you claim it was the Unions who nailed their own coffin shut.

Possibly because they make decent cars.
