I know it was only for the last 20 minutes when Ward went off but surely he showed enough in that time to convince RH that he must start at right back?? He did what we have been crying out for from Ward and that was take people on, beat them and give us a threat going forward. Ward has been a great servant for the club but at Prem level he is simply bot good enough, especially going forward. Time for Tim to take the right back slot.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Tfm has had some shockers; and ward is a man transformed when he plays alongside sakho.

TFM is better going forward which is why we needed him coming on for the last twenty. Let’s not write either of these players off as we will need them in the coming months depending on who we are playing and attacking or defending?

i dont want Ward anywhere near the first 11 anymore. Im sick of og s***ty positioning, passing and lack of pace. His days are numbered. I think Fosu-Mensah will come good if he starts and gets a run of games

Ward was back to being an infuriating liability today. Fosu-Mensah is raw but I think we've got to put him ahead of Ward.

Some combinations work and some don't, like the Cabaye - McArthur pairing seemed not to click last season. Ward - Dann or Tomkins - Sakho - someone less s*** than van Aanholt seems reasonably robust. Take Sakho out of that and you want Fosu-Mensah at right back because Ward loses his positional bearings and at least Fosu-Mensah is quick.

Thought he plated really well at left back when PVA went off. Leave ward at RB and put him left, better than PVA and schlupp

Simply much better than Ward in all aspects and although Ward might be good for the toe pokes from behind when the game is rigid, when it opens up Ward is exposed and it costs us. 1st goal his fault. No speed. No attacking option that's good enough now at prem level.

Work it out. Roy is here for the money. Who can blame him? He is ok.
