With two crunch London Derbies ahead, how long will Roy have if we are unlucky like the Newcastle match and don't get positive results??

The Bristol result has really put the focus back on how we are performing and the problems we have with scoring goals at the top level. Lets hope the team is as per the one that has played the last two league matches and we get good starts in both the West Ham and Spurs matches.

Come on Palace time to get a bit of luck!!!!!

expect a new manager in January if things don't improve. Parish, whatever or whoever the cause of our plight, won't stand idly by and let us sink without one last ditch effort. Too much to lose financially.

He's here for the season whatever happens imo.

I see no merit in changing the manager again, we'd be even more of a laughing stock than we are already.

I think Roy is the best we could get for the situation we're in.

We beat Chelsea and narrowly lost to Newcastle. Ridiculous thread.

Our lack goals has been a real problem and always is for teams that find the Premier League hard going. For us to find a decent striker in January and maybe a new manager our plight could already be irreversible.

From our present position what's the points target by the end of year to keep us in with a chance of survival? I would say anything over 15.

If we lose our next two games, and they are both hard, we would of lost 10 out 11. The points required per game will be already at a point where every punished mistake means our situation becomes untenable in the Premier League.

We did brilliantly vs Chelsea, and dominated the Newcastle game. So Roy has by now managed to organise the team properly, and got the players working for him. We will pick up far fewer points than we should because we don't have a striker, and Roy can't be blamed for that. Unless he manages to lose the dressing room in the coming weeks, which I don't think he will, there would be no sense in sacking him.

And regardless of what I think should happen, I reckon we've got Roy until the end of the season even if we never leave the relegation zone.

I hope Roy continues to bring out the quality that our squad has and channels it in the right direction. We need him to do another Fulham and I hope the players do their jobs and what they instructed to do. What we need is a bit of momentum so lets hope this continues tomorrow!!

Roy has the post for the long term IMO.

It depends, like Sam, if he wants the aggro at his age.

It could be like trying to turn a cruise liner round for anybody so forget any escape artists coming in again in the foreseeable future.

Roy is ex Palace like Pardew so Parish won't sack him.

Roy will walk at the end of the season after not being able to keep us up.
