before people moan no I don't want Roy sacked but what if between now and new years day we only win 1 and a draw here or there out of the 13 games with him in charge leaving us with say... 8 points come end of play on the 1st of January would the board have the guts to sack Roy or, are we all in until the end of the season? serious question

Reckon we sink or swim with Roy this season - and probably next.

If we end up a point short then we could do a lot worse than have Roy in charge for our promotion season. We would come up with a properly drilled team that would be competetive.

With reflection I think we should stick with Roy this season and next. Assuming that this is working for both the team and Roy in terms of believing in the project (sorry to use that word!!) If he doesn't believe that he will succeed and nor do the players then there is no point in flogging a dead horse We'd be lunatics to change the manager again as our players psyche probably wouldn't cope with yet another change Problem is that this is PremierLeague football in 2017 and the world has gone mad so no guarantees that he won't get the chop for another false Messiah to come in
