For Batshuayi and RLC. Buy Tosan and a decent keeper. January window sorted.

not sure about Batshuayi, Ian Wright mentioned a few things about him on Match of the day, about constant lack of movement in the box, seems to have some of the same negative traits Benteke has.

Christian Benteke is hoping to be fit to play soon and to go to Russia. I am hoping that he will compete for that place - against Lukaku and de Broine he needs to score in every Palace match and get a hat trick at least once a month. Hopefully Roy is encouraging him along those lines. Andros Townsend to also go to Russia?

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Benteke has always been a "hot and cold" player, the enforced lay-off might sharpen his desire,It worked for Wilf.

Batshuayi was Conte's first signing for Chelsea at over £33 Mill. Not a conventional target man - he favours ball into feet or into the channels.

Chelsea keen on Benteke again according to papers. If true, I swap could happen but I reckon summer not January.

Benteke needs supply. No Wilf, no supply line. Bring the 2 together for the first time under RH and he will get ball; and score goal-a-plenty. No to Batshuaye. Chelsea will never stop laughing.

I agree with the OP, Batshuayi is a different sort of player to Benteke. I think he would work really well with Wilf and Andros and it would fit in much better with the style the two have been enforced to play at present in Benteke's absence. I think the swap for him and RLC would benefit both clubs. I think it's time for us to move away from lumping it into the box for a big centre forward to get his head on, we have better footballers than that who can cause problems on the ground. Tosun fits the bill as well in this category.

In the five years we've been in the PL Bentenke has been the only player to score more than 10 league goals for us. Yes he was expensive. Yes he can appear lazy at times. But do we really want to risk our status in the PL by selling our best striker? I have no doubt he'll hit double figures by the end of the season if he stays fit, plus I don't really see how he would fit in at Chelsea, especially as they already have a target man in Llorente. I think this is probably just paper talk with little substance, especially if you see how the papers are wording their articles on this with more supposition than facts.

I'm sure it is paper talk but on this part of HOL it is all guesswork because we don't have the inside track, only rubbish from lazy journalists to go on.
