I went last night with my two girls. Quite simply the worst display of inept tactics I have ever seen, slow lethargic build play up allowing Slovenia to get at 10 men behind any move forward, Jordan Henderson how the fcuk he gets in a Liverpool shirt is question enough, but England Captain ? Not a chance. I blame Southagte, for 85 mins we played at home against Slovenia with a back 4 and two holding in midfield, it was fcking turgid awful stuff. Then with 5 mins to go he goes to a back 3 with wing backs, and hey presto we win. I'm sorry but thanks for qualifying time for the FA to get someone in on big money in time for the World cup. Highlight of the game was watching the paper aeroplanes Awful worse than watching us.

Rather you than me, Danny. I didn't bother watching it live, just looked up the result later to see if I should bother, and knew I only needed to watch ITV+1 in the 90th minute. I endured half of the second half though, and it was bloody awful!

Had an amazing time watching Scotland v Slovakia thanks for asking. Heart-thumping stuff. Passion, sweat, guts, determination - it took all of that for me to go to the loo in the 85th minute for fear of nearly missing the goal. Nearly did as well.

I ended up putting the Scotland game on as England was awful. Deserved win in the end after coming close and hitting the bar twice.

Almost got myself in a punchup at a party in Scotland once - some hammered sweaty clocked I was English and came over all Braveheart. We ended up talking football somehow and he said "the difference between your team and mine is that we play frae the heart". Apparently my response that it was just a shame Scotland were so sh*t then was not the most diplomatic one, according to the Scottish lassie I was with

That's a good idea. Do you think that we should play with a back three and wing backs too

Must be some other team Unless the party was in 1966 or 1990 or 1996 then I suppose you have the higher ground. Just.

Do you think that we should play with a back three and wing backs too The reason it would work for England is we play these s*** teams who park 11 men behind the ball and make no effort to attack. In this instance, going to a back 3 with wing backs creates more width and adds more players to the attack, making it easier to break down the aforementioned s*** team. It doesn't work for Palace because, let's face it, who's going to sit back and park the bus against our defence and 'goalkeeper'.

Aren't you basically grumbling about the kind of Palace performance and outcome we would be delighted with at the moment (and beyond)?
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Biggest match for the Scottish national team since 2007 and a chance to grap a playoff place. And STV is showing the England game which is completely moot. And they wonder why everyone thinks Scottish football is s***e. Oh and the England match was even less interesting than the last one. I'm looking forward to Wales v Ireland. That'll make their rugby matches look like tiddlywinks. Edited by chateauferret (08 Oct 2017 10.08pm)
