After visiting the Etihad at the weekend and seeing their impressive stadium and facilities paid for by their Arab backers. Then seeing Brighton's impressive stadium paid for by their US backers, makes me wonder what we have got to show from our US backers. I know that the team is the priority right now but it would also be nice to see some signs of improvements at Selhurst - ok we got some new floodlights and a new fanzine. We were told that at the time of the takeover by billionaires Harris and Blitzer that an initial £50 million would earmarked for stadium improvements. Anybody seen £50 mil of improvements? That's a whole new stand isn't it?

Actually a vast sum was paid for by Uk tax payers as the stadium was built for the comonwealth games and the surrounding area redevelopment by Uk tax payers as well.

Yes obviously the Arab investment has continued with vast improvements but they have a bottomless pit of oil ££ to spend at will with City benefiting from obscene sponsorship deals and spending £200 million on players without a blink of an eye.

Unless Bromley get their ass in gear and get the commwealth games and CP park and redevop that stadium then were marooned at Selhurst with bugger all hope of a decent planning application being accepted . The cash is there it just can't be spent ...

As a footnote it's fing laughable that West Ham pay 2 million a year for the Olympic stadium funded again by us mugs for the p*** millionaires to benefit from. That's about the cost of Mutch and Lee to sit around all week.
