The Championship is filled with clubs that dropped out of the Premiership hoping to rebuild then pop straight back up but Villa, QPR, Fulham and Hull for starters show no signs of achieving it and then there are Cardiff and Middlesbrough too

Relegation won't be progress in any way, shape or form. It will be a disaster. It won't be like Newcastle, who have the infrastructure in place already, a crowd that doesn't halve in the Championship and were able to keep their PL squad intact. If we go down the quality players will be off, as will the US investors and we'll be back to 13k crowds in no time. We were losing £5m a season in the Championship and our managerial revolving door didn't start in the PL. We'd have nothing to show for our five seasons in the PL and any ideas of investment in the infrastructure, either at Selhust or Beckenham, would very definitely hit the buffers.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

No goals, no points, no striker. How the f--- do we get out of this mess? In which upcoming match do we get a point or even score a goal?

We haven't been yo-yoing though?! It should never have come to this. We've been up for enough seasons to have more than a clue whats needed!

Oh dear Dave, what are you saying? We continue to do it this way every season? When Palace were relegated before I heard people say this is the end for the club. Well promotion does happen every year and last time Palce were in the lower division gates reflected that level. Palace did lose money too. But what are you saying, again? Because of this Palace cannot let it happen? And when it does, eventually, Palace are dead? Palace haven't died yet.

It was a ridiculous transfer, one which Parish has already attempted to blame the fans for, and it will look even more ridiculous if we end up in the championship with Mamadou Sakho on our books!

Buying Sakho isn't the problem. He is quality and tries hard and is consistent and no doubt will be one of the main saviours should be stay up. It's the others who aren't, the disappointing and the not good enoughs picking up their millions. They shouldn't be here and in the 25. Quite a few. Benteke has cost us £40mill so far. That's a problem

That's a problem Yes of course he's quality, but us paying that money for a defender, it just doesn't sit comfortably with me. So much wrong with the transfer.....and Parish has already alluded that he got signed as it was what the fans wanted. No, what we wanted (well what i wanted) was a balanced squad. Yes we needed a defender, but we needed a lot more too and didn't get it, hence the situation we now find ourselves in. We have only one premier league standard striker, and we have only one keeper than is ever going to play a league game. We could also do with a premier league manager but we're not going to change that again so soon are we? I can forgive the De Boer mistake, but to then compound it by bringing in Hodgson as his replacement......

Good times ahead? In the championship? Parish's vision? All in your imagination. It will be normal business again.

Nothing wrong with it at all, but you really believe that will happen? Where are these young home grown players coming from that can get promoted and make the step to not just hanging on every year?! Wouldn't every club like that to happen? It won't, it just a fantasy.
