Posted by Danny Foley, a true friend to Kenny on his Facebook page on Monday. Please feel free to send Birthday Cards and wishes to Kenny who will be at the Alma Tavern on his birthday next Tuesday... Good Morning... Time for a catch up.... Kenny is in great shape... like a kid in a sweet shop...!!.. he is so looking forward to being independent... but it takes a little time I've told him... we will get there.. He is so Positive and Focused... Great to see... I must say a big thank you to loads of you who leave nice messages, or pop in and see him from time to time... Fantastic... helps Kenny so much.. knowing we are with him... which brings me on to a little request... Next Tuesday 26th September is Kenny's Birthday... he will be 59...!!!!...lol.. I'm planning a little celebration about 6.30pm.. surprise Cake made by his daughter... so if your local... pop in and say hello... Nothing special... just a way to say Happy Birthday to a good Friend... ..Now for the BIG ASK...!!!... I want everyone to send Kenny a Birthday card... with your own personal message of Love and Support inside the card... this will be fantastic... and he will know that we are all behind him... all the way...!!!.. please send Cards to... Kenny... @ The Alma Tavern, 127-129 Lower Addiscombe Road, Croydon, CR0 6PU.... I will hand the Cards over at the little celebration... Hopefully a nice sackful...!!!

Genuinely, although it sounds odd Danny, who is landlord of the Alma Tavern, has helped Kenny stay off the booze for at least ten weeks and he needs to continue to stay dry so be well - he is only 59 on Tuesday and he does thrive on the support from the Palace family. He was probably the best player I ever saw in a Palace shirt and would love to see him remain sober for the rest of his life, and to celebrate many more birthdays.
