CPFC had a good lineup when Jedda was here, now at Villa never appears, also why did we sell Yannick, who incidentally also doesnt feature at all at Everton. Punch needs a rest and is too frustrated as Captain, so Sakho is the man for the job ? Despite Palace propping up the table, 2 wins would make a big difference, however with 3 tough matches coming up will make interesting viewing.

Jedi is no longer up to the pace of the PL, Bolasie we sold for a ton of money before he got injured for nearly a year, and Dwight Gayle was not judged to be PL quality by any of our managers, or any of our sane fans, or Rafa Benitez at Newcastle, who got the most out of Gayle in the Championship and promptly tried to sell him after promotion.

Jedi could have still done a job last season and he would have been good to keep around the club the same way Speroni has been. His minutes would have been limited this season but I doubt things would have been as dire last season had we still had him.

Sounds like we got lucky cashing in when we did. Dwight is hardly lighting things up for Newcastle since there return.

One of the problems is when do you sell players. Jedi, Murray were both great servants but were past their peak and were bench players. Murray at least was not content with that and was sold on. Bolasie we got an offer that was too good to turn down and he wanted to go Gayle did not fit our system. He could not play lone striker and as a support striker he lacked the other skills and work rate required. He was a bench substitute to chase games and with us would not have progressed further. He probably wanted more and as a first teamer the championship is probably his level.
