I don't think speroni has any chance of playing. And rightly so- Hennessey is not the calamity many of you believe him to be. The trouble with our left backs is that each one of the three has the ability to be a liability as well as a match winner. I'm torn on that one. Used to think Souare was a shaky defender but good crosser, while PVA is a solid defender when that's his main job. He used to mark wilf out of almost every game when we'd play Sunderland. Having said that he has been poor this season, while I never trusted Schlupp as a defender and think he's a bit clumsy going forward. If the three were combined they would make one hell of a player. I still would have liked to see Schlupp played on the wing when wilf was out.

Speroni has every chance of playing if Hennessey ever does unto himself what Heaton did last week.

I would play almost anyone in place of Punch even Judy. Originally posted by Bexley Eagle

I'd rather have Wickham than Benteke.

The worst thing about our start to the season is the longer we go without a win, the more pressure is heaped on the players, and consequently they will play increasingly nervously. I think we saw this against Southampton. That's why I think these games against big sides are crucial- the players won't be expected to get anything from them, and the underdog attitude might suit them. Nick 1 or 3 points from city or united and that'll carry into the following games. Edited by Jamesrichards8 (18 Sep 2017 10.43am)

I mean, yeah it's not super likely, but we managed to do it last year with the same team. Here's hoping
