Assuming the obvious, we get relegated at the end of this season...

Who would still be on the club next season? Zaha I assume would be long gone. Cabaye, Sakho, Benteke gone.

Roy gone.

What about SP? Does he survive the trip down?

Any hope of doing well in the championship next season?

It's a very sensible question. No need for the rude reply.

The two loans go back.

Benteke (will lose money) will be sold.
Zaha, won't get stupid money for him. Deserves a big club now and won't play in championship, even with us.
Sakho will be on huge wages. Will we take a loss and sell?
Cabaye will go back to France.
Townsend and his desire to play for England will be gone.
Milo? He's decent and may want to leave.
Roy.... This is why bringing in a 70 year old was f***ing stupid. He won't be around to try help rebuild Palace so will havw yet abother manager.

I think that will be it that will want to go. Don't think anyone else is Premierleague standard anyway.

Basically leaves us no Striker as Wickham can't stay fit. Both wingers gone also.

If/when we go down we won't be back up again for a while. Not a bad thing tho IMO.

We'll no doubt cross that bridge if and when we actually come to it. In the meantime let's concentrate on staying in this division rather than fretting over what may or may not happen in May.

Aston Villa & sunderland look like they didnt prepare for the championship. Doomed to stay there for a while, even with those big money payoffs.

whereas, Newcastle did a great job of getting back to the prem.

Lets remember that the championship is a bloody tough league and nothing is to be taken for granted.

I'm not going to talk about us in the Championship after just 5 games, albeit we have made an awful start.

That said, our Transfer activity or non-activity in January might need to reflect the real possibility of playing in that division next season.

If the worse does happen, the only positive would be the departure of all these pseudo fans from other countries, who haven't a clue and just post crap on here.
They wont be able to watch games, so latch onto other teams and start complaining about them.

Thats a little unkind Painter, there are loyal palace fans scattered all over the world, who grew up locally, were and have always been loyal CP supporters but for one reason or another they end up a long way from home. They are entitled to express their views like anybody else, hopefully they will continue to see palace on TV in whatever league they are in thanks to Sky who cover large parts of the globe with their broadcast or through on line newspapers.

What about all those fans from South London who also don't have a clue and just post crap on here

Sensible? Negative/defeatist/miserable more like. How many points after 8 games did we have in our first season? Or Stoke last year?

Please let's focus on how we get out of this position. Plenty of time to ask and answer such questions if needed in 6 months time
