After the next three games, how many points adrift would you believe would give us a chance.

I think we will be 7 behind.

It really looks as though we will have zero points after 8 games.
This means we will need something like 38-40 pts from 30 games to survive which in the circumstances will be a tall order.

I have it down as probably 36 which is not impossible bu that means 12 wins out of 30. A 40% win rate and that is not going to happen unless we perform miracle on the way. A five win run kinda thing.

Parish's chancer luck and rubbish strategies are coming home to roost this time I fear.

Miracle required
Unsure how Woy can pull this team together quickly and get results. He hardly inspires me
There is clearly major issues at our beloved club
Sure- we have some players to come back from injury but our depth has not been addressed and we all know we will have more injuries over the course of the season
Things are looking pretty dire peeps
I hope we don't get absolutely smacked the next three games which is looking likely- for a start- look what Citeh did to Watford today..... it's going to get ugly before it gets better that is for sure
Sigh 😔

Well, in 2013 2014, our first season up, we lost 9 of our first 10 games but still survived, finishing 11th with 45 points.

Of course you need to win about a dozen games and pick up a few draws along the way. It doesn't matter which dozen games they are. It's just the later they come the more your arse squeaks.

Understand the worriers but stoke only had 3 points after 8 games last season and they finished 2 points from 8th place and didn't win until game 9

38 points from 30 games is roughly equivalent to 48 points from a full season. 48 points would usually see a team finish around 10th place. When (if) our players’ shattered confidence has been restored and we have our injured players back, are we not capable of that sort of form, don't you think?

By 8 games we could have 0 points, if the gap is more than 10, I think we have shot ourselves in the foot with such a disastrous start and it would mean we were 4 wins from safety. And I personally think that will be to much to over turn, even this early on in the season.

I am normally pretty optimistic with Palace and rarely press the panic button and always have faith in our team and its spirit to turn things around, but this time, I just feel we have run out of luck.

also its worth noting that by the time we have played 8 games we would have play 5 out of last seasons top 8...we cant excuse hudds/swabsea/burnley results but its worth noting, win those 3 return fixtures and things wont look that bad.

we would not be earmarking the top 8 teams as points but the other 12 teams bwlo them who are more in our league.

It makes me wonder why we left FDB for Burnley - why not use the international break to get the new man in and a couple weeks practise.

If he was judged on the burnley performance, it was worthy of a pass... so, i dunno, we handled it all wrong.
