A terrible transfer window. Too many defenders. No striker bought to at least put pressure on Bentake's place in the team. He knows he'll be picked and play 90 mins every game. Parish and recruiting have to take blame for poor squad. After 5 seasons we should have quality in reserve all over the pitch, and not be just hoping for Wilf to return

Benteke is laughing all the way to the bank. He knows he has got nobody that can challenge him for his place in the team.

An established Premiership club with ONE striker... Disgusting.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

It's a while since I've seen him play 90 minutes in a game. Been on the park 90 mins, but play?

I'd drop benteke fir a game, and stick one of the kids up front. Can't do any worse, and might give benteke a kick up the a**e

Do we have any scouts? You look at that guy in the middle for Southampton today they bought in the summer from Italy - he was immense. Why can't we get players in like that?

I still wonder if there was another reason why Sam walked - had he been told there wouldn't be much money to spend? Very odd for a PL club to have two managers resign. You have to wonder about how the club is tun. To go into a PL season with 1 recognised striker is an appalling situation.

Our over achievements in the first two years back, seem to have blinded 'those' of the severity of how inadequate our squad, cover and depth has always been. We may have added quality here and there but we have also let much quality, and leadership leave during this time.

"If you're not moving forward you're moving backward", I remember someone quoting.

Manager, formation, confidence, attitude, application, quality - whatever it may be, the last 24 months have been pretty challenging to follow. Just a bit bored of the losing to be honest.

Appreciate we have 33 games to go and I naturally hope we can turn it around but is it bad to begin having a feeling of relief almost, if we were to find ourselves in the championship next season?

As a hands on Chairman, the buck obviously stops with SP.
We are diabolical. We are NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
We all know this now. What SP clearly doesn't know is how to correct things.
This has been coming for some time. Too many management changes brings uncertainty and a lack of stability. Different players being bought in by different consortiums all now muddling together. There is a total lack of unity and teamwork. But above all, our collected group of players are sub standard for this league. We are dire.

The talk of top ten finish and Europe a couple of years back. First you crawl, then you walk.

It is very easy to be critical when the chips are down and I think in a situation like ours (can't really get much worse (P5 W0 Goals 0)you have to look forwards because the past is history which, we can do nothing about except learn from.

I did not attend the game today but from what I am told the team lacked fitness, shape and commitment.

Hopefully Roy and his team will sort all three out on the training pitch, starting with what should be tomorrow given the capitulation today.

We have three key players to return in Sakho, Tompkins and Zaha.

Sakho in my opinion should be made Captain with immediate effect. Many players need a kick up the derriere and he is the one to give it. He will also sort out the defence which, is woeful.

Tompkins IMO is the natural Sakho partner not Dann who just isn't up to it.

Zaha will hopefully provide the spark and attacking quality that is missing.

Puncheon, who I have been a fan of is I am afraid not good enough on the last 5 games showing. As Captain he needs to motivate all around him and it just isn't happening. Also to be Captain his personal form needs to be in the top drawer....it is not.

If there are divisive factions within the dressing room then they need to be removed.

SP needs to concentrate on affairs associated with being Chairman of the club and nothing else.

Its easy asking the fans to give their undying support and get behind the team but the team need to look also in the mirror, forget their pay packets and play for those same fans who give up their hard earned money to watch what is currently rubbish!

Bring back Brolin
